Suzuki Motor Corp. ke Executive Vice President Kenichi Ayukawa ne kaha ki Bharat ka car
market 2047 tak 20 million units tak pahunch sakta hai, battery electric vehicles ki promising
growth se madad milegi.
Pehla goal hai ki Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., jo Japanese carmaker ki subsidiary hai, 2030 tak
50% market share hasil kare, jo fiscal year ke March tak lagbhag 40% tha. “Humein vishwas
hai ki Bharatiya market mid to long term mein expand karega,” Ayukawa ne ek interview
mein kaha.
Bharat ke economic powerhouse banne aur expanding middle class se Hamamatsu-based
manufacturer ke liye ek clear opportunity hai, jo 1983 se South Asian nation mein active hai
aur Swift aur Brezza jaise models ke sath top-selling automaker ke roop mein safal raha hai.
Apni lead ko banaye rakhne ke liye, Suzuki agle saal Bharat mein apna pehla EV launch karne
ki yojana bana raha hai, saath hi Europe mein bhi, January mein Bharat ke upcoming auto
expo mein apna mass production model exhibit karne ke baad, Ayukawa ke mutabik.
“Humein products develop karenge, invest karenge aur apna network expand karenge,”
Ayukawa ne kaha.
Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers ke mutabik, fiscal year jo March mein khatam
hua usmein Bharat mein kul 4.2 million passenger vehicles beche gaye. Ayukawa ki
prediction ko perspective mein rakhne ke liye, pichle saal US mein 3.1 million passenger cars
bechi gayi thi, jabki Europe mein 15 million unit sales hui thi. China duniya ka sabse bada
automobile market hai jahan 26 million passenger vehicle sales hui, International
Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers ke mutabik.
Halaanki Suzuki ka planned eVX ek premium electric vehicle hai, carmaker affordable aur
compact models bhi launch karega jisme lighter batteries hongi, Ayukawa ke mutabik. Suzuki
ka target hai ki 2030 tak Bharat mein uski sales ka 15% EVs ho, unhone kaha.
“Bharat environmental issues face kar raha hai isliye mujhe lagta hai ki EVs extent tak
badhenge,” Ayukawa ne kaha. Halaanki log gaadiyon par pehle se zyada kharch kar rahe
hain, “Bharat ek price-conscious market bana rahega,” unhone joda.
Phir bhi, car buyers crossovers aur sport-utility vehicles mein zyada interest dikhane lage
hain, Ayukawa ke mutabik. Us segment mein competition tougher hai kyunki ye “Tata aur
Mahindra ke liye strong area hai,” unhone kaha.
Tata Motors Ltd., Bharat ka teesra sabse bada carmaker, apne popular Tiago aur Nexon
models ke fully-electric variants ke sath lead le chuka hai, aur apne EV business ko early 2026
tak profitability tak pahunchne ki ummid rakhta hai.
Suzuki un models par dhyan dega jo roz ke kaamon ke liye use kiye ja sakte hain, jo naye
types ke batteries ki development ki zarurat hogi, Ayukawa ke mutabik. Future mein, Suzuki
agle 5 se 10 saalon mein cells ka domestic production shuru kar sakta hai, unhone joda.
Bharat mein Toyota Motor Corp. ke sath collaboration ke baare mein, jo 2019 mein Suzuki ke
sath strategic partnership mein 5% stake liya, Suzuki chhoti gaadiyon par dhyan dega jabki
Toyota bade models par lead lega, Ayukawa ne kaha. Toyota ki EV technology Suzuki ke
product development ko bhi support karegi, unhone kaha.
Suzuki ko compressed natural gas se powered gaadiyon mein bhi potential dikh raha hai, jo
Bharat mein gasoline se sasta hai, Ayukawa ke mutabik. Maruti Suzuki ne latest fiscal period
mein 483,000 CNG cars bechi, jo pichle saal se 47% zyada hai.
Halaanki Suzuki yeh plan kar raha hai ki chaar plants operate kare jo cow manure se
methane ko fuel mein convert karein jo abhi CNG par chalti hain, lekin challenges hain, jaise
ki organic fertilizer ko monetize karna jo fuel manufacture karne ke baad bachta hai large
scale par, Ayukawa ne kaha.
